TCI launched its annual advocacy campaign, #WhatWENeed 2024 on 26th September. TCI has been running this campaign since 2018 to challenge and correct the medical oppression against us, persons with psychosocial disabilities, and reclaim World Mental Health day and month by filling it with our voices!
As part of the campaign, we conduct spotlight interviews with our members and networks to highlight the works they are engaged with and put a ‘spotlight’ on their advocacy.
The #WhatWENeed 2024 spotlight interviews took place during TCI’s in-person Community Inclusion Plenary Conference “Pathways to Inclusive Communities: Navigating the Practice of Community Inclusion”
The TCI Plenary was held in collaboration with its members and partners in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 16-18, 2024.
The plenary focused on the key thematic of community inclusion of persons with psychosocial disabilities. The conference was a learning space, to foster rich and insightful conversations, discuss and display good practices from the member countries, contribute to knowledge building, and strengthen collaborations with cross-disability movements and multi-stakeholders.
